Nauheim Fair
Hans H. Ridel Holzblasinstruments will host a Theo Wanne Fair in Nauheim, April 2nd-4th. Nauheim is delightful town with plenty of interesting music history only 15km from Musikmesse.

"I have heard that Eric Dolphy used a Brilhart hard rubber Personaline mouthpiece. Based on his sound, would you say that he used the large chamber version or the medium chamber version?
I also read that his piece was modified. Would you be able to hazard a guess as to how it might have been modified?
Do you know of any current production mouthpiece which helps achieve this type of sound?", asked Ioannis.
Theo answered, "The Vandoren Java A35 alto mouthpiece is very similar to the medium chamber version of the Hard Rubber Brilhart Personaline.

Winter NAMM 2009
We are excited to release several videos and a slide show of the fun activities at Winter NAMM 2009.
One of our favorites is this four-man jam session called 3 DURGAs and 1 KALI. It features Jack Prybylski, Keith McKelley, Mike Parlett, and Jim Scimonetti improvising and working the mojo in front of the Theo Wanne booth:
We also enjoyed Mike Parlett turning on the sizzle while when he played two saxophones at once with Jim beat boxing in the background.
