Infused with the spirit of Dexter Gordon, the GAIA Tenor was built to outplay Theo's very best Florida Otto Link. Theo succeeded!

Downbeat DURGA Bari Review
|
|
| |
Flickr is a great tool for sharing and displaying many sets of pictures at once.
Our new Theo Wanne Flickr photostream has picture sets of all our mouthpieces models.
|
|
We are delighted to share Downbeat magazine's Toolshed review of the DURGA Baritone:
"...it brought out the instrument's natural brassy timbre while allowing for a huge, round sound that you just don't get with other bari mouthpieces. I was thrilled with the response and the way it suited my embouchure.
If you're having trouble getting a good contemporary sound on bari, tenor or alto, give the
DURGA a try. It could change your game for the better." - Ed Enright ( Downbeat Magazine - Toolshed).

flavio03029 asked , "I recently I found a florida Link 4(No usa with no serial number,How much it worth?).
I know that the florida links are very nice vintage mouthpieces, but I think with a refacing I can bring alive this mouthpiece.
My question is: Can i open the mouthpiece to an 8* (0.115") or is too open for the original tip openning? "
Theo responds, "We have a page showing vintage mouthpiece values: whatIsMyVintageMouthpieceWorth. This section should help with finding a value for your Otto Link.
To open your Link up to an 8*, however, you will need to find a refacer who can bend the tip of your mouthpiece. This is done using soft jaw plyers and then the refacing is done.
You will also need to have enough thickness at the mouthpiece..."

Theo writes, "The NAMM show is like a yearly re-union for all of us in the saxophone industry. My buddy Paul Perez of Tower of Power came by and tooted on the GAIA for a bit..yah, can you believe it, this hard core Berg guy actually liked a large chamber mouthpiece!?!?
