The AMMA has that famous vintage Link sound but with more projection and power. It is a medium bright mouthpiece with a uniquely warm and robust sound ranging from low Bb into the altissimo. Because it is both very projecting and yet maintains the vintage sound we feel it is our most versatile mouthpiece offering.
The AMMA was our first production mouthpiece and was the first to utilize our four innovative Design Patents. It is constructed with our Patent Pending manufacturing process patent too. The AMMA has grace and style. It has an incredibly complex, yet beautifully sculpted, interior design incorporating our True Large Chamber.
Our TRUE Large Chamber (much like the vintage mouthpieces of the 1940s but technically superior) ensures a warm, fat, robust sound. The chamber is formed from a specific conical extension starting at the very tip of the mouthpiece reaching to the back of the chamber. The entire interior is machined to extremely high tolerances, hence, it is much more accurately formed than cast mouthpiece interiors. |

The AMMA is better than any other mouthpieces Ive had in my life and I know them all: Link, Gregory, Meyer, Vandoren, Bay...even LeBayle. I now feel all my breathing air is used exclusively for the sound. I have never had a bigger, purer sound. I always had to use a bigger opening until now! The ligature is really great too. I have tried out different pressure-plates and found my solution. I only can say a giant Thank-You to Theo Wanne. - Doug Moffet
